Roserags Fashions

Fashion

Local fashion designer Jessica Delee created a fantastic brand in Roserags.  To help launch her new catalog she came over to our studio with the a beautiful model and we shot her entire spring collection.  I am not going to be posting the entire catalog here – but these are a few of my favorite pieces from the collection

Del Mar Wedding

San Diego Weddings

Our first wedding of the year was a cozy affair in Del Mar at Pacifica Breeze Cafe. As far as locations for small weddings – it does not get much better than this with beautiful views and gorgeous architecture all around the venue. Although this wedding was booked on short notice – I feel like I made a great connection with Miles and Chelsea and I absolutely love the photos we came away with.

Paradise Point Wedding

San Diego Weddings

Paradise Point is one of the most beautiful places to get married in San Diego. Being on a “point” there are amazing views to be had all around the resort, the there are well spectacular gardens and water features throughout the property. Carlos and Blanca invited me to photograph their intimate wedding on the Island View Lawn which is a simple and small “Island” surrounded by streams and bridges. The reception took place in the Bayview Room and hosted a spectacular sunset.

Red Light District… Behind-the-Scenes

Uncategorized

Jon Tiffin knocked this one out of the park !!!

When the owner of one of San Diego’s hottest new restaurants (Red Light District) contacted Jon several months back – an amazing collaborative process began that ended up involving dozens of people.  Jon’s part in this process would be to photograph an amazing group of girls dressed in vintage boudoir attire to decorate the new restaurant.  Most of the prints were going to be printed as black & white photos on a metallic surface – but we knew at least one print would be mounted in a light box at a very large dimension.  Pauly Debartolo from Debartolo + Rimanic Design Studio coordinated the project, while Jessica Rose Delee styled the shot and both Julie Marques and Aimee Beltran were responsible for hair and makeup.  Mimi and Lu provided all the beautiful jewelry you see in the photos as well.  Chris Wood was on hand as a photography assistant and videographer.

We’ve been sitting on this footage now for a few months now… waiting for the restaurant to be unveiled.  And with the grand opening officially out of the way – we are finally free to release this fun little bit of footage that we created during the LONG day while we captured all of these images.

New Years Eve Assignment

Uncategorized

DiscoverSD hired me to cover some events this year starting with the New Year’s Eve celebration at Fluxx Nightclub. This is definitely one of San Diego’s hottest clubs to hit and it was literally jam packed for the celebration. The theme of the club changes periodically – and at the moment the theme is called “Candy Shop”, complete with a giant gumball machine for the dancers and great outfits for the servers and hostesses.

Red Light District

Jon was contacted about creating some art for an interesting new restaurant in San Diego’s Gaslamp District.  The name of the restaurant will be called Red Light District  and it will be themed after vintage Burlesque concept.  These photos are destined to be printed at on an aluminum (metallic) surface at sizes ranging from only 24 inches up to 10 feet.  It turned in to an amazing photo session that lasted more than 12 hours – with a ton of talent on set to make everything come to life.

Cristina and Patrick in Little Italy

San Diego Weddings

One of the best parts of my job is that I get to be immersed in such diverse cultural experiences. Cristina and Patrick’s wedding had such a beautiful flavor or Italy – I will have a hard time forgetting this experience any time soon. From the pre-rehearsal dinner at the Mona Lisa to the amazing house where all the “getting ready” happened… to the Catholic Church in Little Italy… and the Sicilian Band at the reception. Thank you both so much for having me out to your amazing wedding.

Egyptian Coptic wedding = A very good time

San Diego Weddings

Christopher Cooke Photography invited me up to help him out with a wedding in Los Angeles. When I had agreed I was unaware of what a cool experience it would be – I have never witnessed a Coptic Orthodox ceremony before… or partied with 200 Egyptians, Americans and a host of other cultures. It was a night I will certainly remember for a long time to come.
