Once a year I teach a studio photography class at UCSD. This is a 27 hour course that culminates with a full day in the studio with professional models and an assortment of available studio lighting. During the day I don’t get to take a lot of photos (I make myself the lighting assistant for my students), but I always manage to get a few snaps.

Sd Photo Studio Inc Receives 2018 San Diego Award
San Diego Award Program Honors the Achievement
SAN DIEGO November 1, 2018 — Sd Photo Studio Inc has been selected for the 2018 San Diego Award in the Portrait Photographers category by the San Diego Award Program.
Each year, the San Diego Award Program identifies companies that we believe have achieved exceptional marketing success in their local community and business category. These are local companies that enhance the positive image of small business through service to their customers and our community. These exceptional companies help make the San Diego area a great place to live, work and play.
Various sources of information were gathered and analyzed to choose the winners in each category. The 2018 San Diego Award Program focuses on quality, not quantity. Winners are determined based on the information gathered both internally by the San Diego Award Program and data provided by third parties.

Last week we officially opened our new studio space on Adams Ave. Our first client through the door was Estes Therapy, and they were looking for a fun/formal/casual team photo. We produced a few versions, but these 2 are my favorites.
