Small is beautiful – and this amazing little wedding took place at Tom Ham’s Lighthouse on Harbor Island in San Diego. After getting ready at the Hilton I walked to the wedding venue (Loved that part!!) to wait for the bride. Tom Ham’s has gone through some significant renovations in the past year and I absolutely loved the new layout with bright interior rooms and a new ceremony site out front. As for the wedding itself – rarely have I seen more smiles at ANY event before… I love these guys!!

Winter Wedding – Sneak Peak
UncategorizedKim and Thom :: Married
San Diego Weddings, UncategorizedTo begin with… let me describe how this wedding ended. The day after the wedding – the coordinator, florist, band, venue and of course my team had a chance to exchange some brief “thank you emails”. And within these emails this wedding was unanimously described as “The Feel Good Wedding of the Summer”. Words just can’t express the joy felt by everyone who attended this beautiful wedding. The whole day from the very early start to the reception at Hilton Torrey Pines, ran as smooth as I could ever hope – and everyone looked absolutely stunning!!

San Diego Weddings, UncategorizedRed Light District… Behind-the-Scenes
UncategorizedJon Tiffin knocked this one out of the park !!!
When the owner of one of San Diego’s hottest new restaurants (Red Light District) contacted Jon several months back – an amazing collaborative process began that ended up involving dozens of people. Jon’s part in this process would be to photograph an amazing group of girls dressed in vintage boudoir attire to decorate the new restaurant. Most of the prints were going to be printed as black & white photos on a metallic surface – but we knew at least one print would be mounted in a light box at a very large dimension. Pauly Debartolo from Debartolo + Rimanic Design Studio coordinated the project, while Jessica Rose Delee styled the shot and both Julie Marques and Aimee Beltran were responsible for hair and makeup. Mimi and Lu provided all the beautiful jewelry you see in the photos as well. Chris Wood was on hand as a photography assistant and videographer.
We’ve been sitting on this footage now for a few months now… waiting for the restaurant to be unveiled. And with the grand opening officially out of the way – we are finally free to release this fun little bit of footage that we created during the LONG day while we captured all of these images.

New Years Eve Assignment
UncategorizedDiscoverSD hired me to cover some events this year starting with the New Year’s Eve celebration at Fluxx Nightclub. This is definitely one of San Diego’s hottest clubs to hit and it was literally jam packed for the celebration. The theme of the club changes periodically – and at the moment the theme is called “Candy Shop”, complete with a giant gumball machine for the dancers and great outfits for the servers and hostesses.
Immaculata + Karl Strauss = Awesome Wedding
UncategorizedLast weekend Catherine and Felix invited me out to photograph their wedding at the Immaculata with the reception at Karl Strauss. These are 2 of the coolest places in San Diego to have wedding events so I was unbelievably excited to be part of their day. And on top of that – languages are a really fun hobby for me, and at this wedding I got to learn a few Vietnamese greetings for some out of town guests… 1 – 2 – 3 – SMILE.
Torrey Pines Maternity Photos
UncategorizedMy sister and her hubby were in town last week – and they’re prego 🙂 Way to go guys!!! So I had to drag them down to Torrey Pines to document the dramatic change to her body, her way of life, and her future prospects for sleep…
